My top five Christmas Pinterest ideas

November 30, 2017

With Christmas just around the corner, and the amount of responses I had about my tattoo Pinterest post, I thought I would put one together with some gorgeous Christmas ideas I have found!  With the house move and everything I am really sad that I'm not going to get a lot of time to do anything particularly Christmassy really this year so I'm looking forward to planning for next (too much..?).

These gorgeous cheese trees

I love cheese!  If I see a cheese platter at a party or if I'm out and a cheese platter is on offer - yes please!  These little festive platters are so cute and will definitely get people talking at your Christmas get together!  The top one with the little sprigs of thyme looks very Christmassy, and the one on the slate plate with the meat slices included looks so tasty!  I'm looking forward to planning all of my Christmas get togethers for Christmas 2018 and these will definitely be on my food list!

Homemade gift jars

Buying pre-made gift jars or hampers can get expensive so why not do it yourself?  Know a Baileys fan that also loves hot chocolate?  Or anyone that would love a jar of festive treats?  This could be a great way to present them with a gorgeous gift!  It's as simple as some mini marshmallows, hot chocolate poweder and a minature Baileys bottle all put together in a mason jar with a ribbon to put it all together.  Why not try it!?

Table place settings

If you're having a family meal and you want to do something nice for the tables other than crackers, then a cute but easy to make place setting is a great idea!  Even if you don't want to tell people where they should sit like with the candy cane setting, you can leave a little card that says 'Merry Christmas'.  The stockings are also a really cute idea because they are suitable for everyone and kids will love them too!

Festive treats

These little DIY, handmade goodies will be so popular at your Christmas party or on Christmas Day!  The reindeers consist of melted chocolate, marshmallows, pretzels, candy eyes and mini M&MS.  Go to see Debbie's site at One Little Project (link below picture) for the full recipe for these little cuties!  Sanat's sleigh is so simple yet very effective!  Two candy canes, a few chocolate bars and goodies all tied with a ribbon and they look gorgeous.  Both of these are perfect for kids although myself as an adult would be very excited to recieve one of these!

Homemade decorations

Homemade decorations are a great way to prepare for Christmas!  The sweet filled baubles are really easy to make and kids can get involved.  They'll look so gorgeous on the tree or they would make a great stocking filler!  Plus, you can redo them every year!  See the Country Living link below the 'Let It Snow' cubes for some lovely DIY decorations that you can make for your home.  It's a beautiful way to get unique decorations on your tree and in your home!  Everyone can make these decorations and they look so cute.

Those were my top five Pinterest ideas on my Christmas board.  Please visit the board to see lots of other ideas to do at Christmas - hopefully you'll get some inspiration.  What other good ideas do you have about Christmas?  What ideas will you be trying?  Do you have any fun things you like to do in the festive season?
