Ahh, Valentine's Day. The day of the year to show your significant other how much they mean to you. Three years ago, I went out on Valentine's Day night to see the Kaiser Chiefs in Leeds with my mum, my brother and my brother's friend which meant Nicky was left at home on his own. He never lets me forget it!
So - for those on their own on Valentine's, whether you are single or your significant other is working or out seeing one of the best bands in the world, what do you do? Watch lovey-dovey films alone and eat an entire tub of ice cream and drink a bottle of Prosecco? No. No you don't.
You treat yourself to whatever you want to be treated to!
I love having fresh flowers in the house. I'm one of those lucky wives whose husband buys them flowers on a regular basis. There's nothing more satisfying that having a beautiful bouquet of flowers in the house brightening up the dullest day (especially with the wonderful British weather we are having right now). Buy yourself some flowers, get a gorgeous vase or two and spruce up your home with some beautiful smelling fresh flowers.
If, like me, you love chocolate and eat it far to much then you more than likely buy Dairy Milk or Maltesers at a reasonable price most of the time. This Valentine's Day, why not treat yourself to some more expensive chocolates. These Valentine's Day chocolates from Hotel Chocolat not only look gorgeous, Hotel Chocolat do some yummy tasting boxes. The flavours in this box include vanilla and raspberry and are definitely a box of real treats!
